The semi-annual sales see omni retailers slash prices on products from across the country, usually deeper than the competition can keep up with. And just like last year and the year before, they announced that we will get another one on October 8-9 (but sales are already happening now). What are Amazon’s Big Deal Days?
Think of it as the second major Amazon Day of the year. Or Fall Prime Day (as opposed to Summer Prime Day). Like the first round of Prime Minister’s Day in July, Prime Big Deal Days is offering a variety of deals, discounts and savings for Amazon Prime members. Of course, some products will be on sale for non-Prime members as well, but if you want access to everything, you better be a member!
When are Amazon Big Deal Days 2024?
Amazon Prime’s Great Deal Days runs from October 8-9, 2024. That’s the second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. Amazon usually runs discount events around that time to boost orders on some of the less trafficked days of the month. Sale starts at 12:01 AM PDT on Tuesday and ends at 12:00 AM PDT on Thursday morning.
Are Prime’s big deal days only for Prime members?
If you want to get the best discounts during Big Deal Prime Days, you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member. If you are not registered, it is free to join for 30 daysafter which it’s $139 per year (or $14.99 per month). You can always sign up for a monthly account and cancel laterif you don’t feel guilty doing it. Once you sign up for Prime and sign in, Amazon’s website and apps will display exclusive Prime prices. For a 30-day free trial, yes. After that, you are locked to pay. However, you may not have to pay full price. there are way to pay less than $139 for Primehowever, including student accounts and discount for EBT, SNAP and Medicaid recipients.

You’re guaranteed price cuts on thousands of items during Big Deal Prime Days. One category that is absolutely sure to get deep discounts is Amazon brand products. We always see offers Kindles, echo smart speakers and hubs, Fire TV devices and smart TVs, eero networks networks, Ring AND Flash security cameras and more. What other stores have competitive sales?
Where Amazon leads, others follow. As soon as the Big Deal Days date announcement came out, we immediately received notices from other major online retailers. Best Buy will have a 48-hour flash sale on the same days, with discounts across the board and even deeper price cuts for Best Buy Plus and Best Buy Total members. Walmart will have deals up to 50% off starting October 8th. Target has Target Circle Week from October 6-12, with huge sales on holiday gifts, tech and more, as well as deep one-day-only discounts on individual products.
